Win/So female hip hop artist, Medusa, had her song “Cali Frame” featured in the new movie Liberal Arts from writer/director/actor of HappyThankYouMorePlease and star on CBS’s How I Met Your Mother, Josh Radnor.

Los Angeles-based underground hip-hop vocalist, with a solo EP and a number of appearances elsewhere. She is also the lead vocalist in the group “Feline Science”. Starting off MCing as a 16 year old pop-locker, now dubbed “the Angela Davis of hip-hop”, Medusa continues to cultivate hip-hop seeds across the country in unprecedented numbers.

Liberal Arts tells the story of “when thirty-something Jesse is invited back to his alma mater, he falls for a young 19-year-old college student and is faced with the powerful attraction that springs up between them.” Recently, “IFC Films has acquired North American rights to Josh Radnor’s Liberal Arts for a seven-figure sum. The film drew a positive reaction from viewers and buyers after its world premiere Sunday night at the Eccles Theatre. The GO had their first album (“Watcha Doin’”) released on Sub Pop Records in 1998 with Jack White as their guitar player. When they reached an impasse creatively regarding the second album (“Free Electricity”, which still sits on the shelf of Sub Pop and has not been released yet) The GO moved to a British label, Lizard King Records (The Killers). The Lizard King album “The GO”, known as the Red Album, has been the source of numerous placements and the masters are now owned by The GO Detroit LLC. The GO, soon after a private audience with the Dali Lama (check out the attached photo), released their next album, “Howl on the Haunted Beat You Ride” to critical acclaim. Currently buried in the studio, The GO is sure to emerge with a series of tracks that is just as worthy as those in the past.

The series follows a team of profilers from the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) based in Quantico, Virginia. The BAU is part of the FBI National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime. Criminal Minds differs from many procedural dramas by focusing on the criminal rather than the crime itself.

How I Met Your Mother.

The episode is titled “The Drunk Train” and is the show’s 16th episode of their current 7th season.

Set in Manhattan, How I Met Your Mother follows the social and romantic lives of Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) and his friends Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan) and Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris). As a framing device, the main character, Ted, using voice over narration by Bob Saget, in the year 2030 recounts to his son and daughter the events that led to his meeting their mother.

In a film composed of almost entirely Hawaiian music, The Flutterbies had their songs “Hummingbird Heart” and “Faith In Rain” standout during the film.

The Flutterbies are Los Angeles’ hottest alt-country upstarts. Fierce and fashionable, lead singer Maureen Davis fronts the band with a dusty, honey smothered voice that “…oozes sass and soul…” (Music Connection, April 2009).
