Mountain Movers follows Chris “Gunny” Gunnarson and the Snow Park Technologies (SPT) team as they design and build some of the most impressive winter sports projects across the nation. Whether creating a remote private training facility for a high profile athlete, building the perfect half-pipe for the ESPN Winter X Games, or constructing a terrain park at a major winter resort, these larger-than-life snow-sculptors battle the elements to amp up the thrill of snow sports everywhere.

Combining the dark, immediate conviction of With Teeth-era Nine Inch Nails with the frantic turmoil of Turn on The Bright Lights-era Interpol, Detroit’s Fur is adept at channeling both the Motor City’s metallic chill and the Big Apple’s midnight noir into hook-laden bangers.

The Love Me Nots are a rock band rooted in fuzz-and-Farfisa garage and punk. The quartet formed in Phoenix in 2006 and feature the purrs and howls of singer-organist Nicole Laurenne, the raunchy guitar work of Michael Johnny Walker, rock-solid bass lines and vocal harmonies by Sophie O, and the furious pounding of drummer Jay Lien. The DIY band has released four full-length albums, all produced in Detroit by Jim Diamond (White Stripes, Electric Six, Dirtbombs), plus a recent album of remixes.

Armada are a powerful four piece cranking out soulful indie rock from the bleeding heart of Los Angeles. Brain meets brawn with sharp, earthy lyrics wrapped in classic, rough-and-tumble songwriting. This is what might happen if Spoon, Wilco, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club threw a pool party with Queens of the Stone Age scoring the water ballet.

In the last few years, SORNE has written over 80 songs using only the voice, handmade instruments and found objects. The first 13 were released in 2011 in his debut album, House of Stone, and he’s working on the rest to be released in a series of chapters, one for each of the five siblings, the star characters of the House of Stone saga: First Born. Second Son. Black Sister. Little Brother. Blue Sister.

Set in no particular time or place, the story speaks of family relationships, focusing on the death of the father and highlighting SORNE’s obsession with the Divine Mother. House of Stone grew in his mind for years, the characters initially born as direct reflections of his mother and her siblings. House of Stone evolved from childhood views of family into characters with a life of their own, each representing, in SORNE’s words, “archetypes of the human condition.”
