CBS’s police drama series “Criminal Minds” recently featured the song “Do It” by Win/So artist Shana Halligan. You can hear it on episode five of the show’s current seventh season, titled “From Childhood’s Hour,” which aired on October 19th, 2011.
After nearly seven exceedingly successful years as the singer/songwriter of sophisticated pop band Bitter:Sweet, the Los Angeles native found herself a freshly minted solo artist in search of her next sound. Halligan has spent the last two years stretching her musical muscles through a series of inspired collaborations. She is schedule to release her solo album, titled “Richmond Parade”, next month.
The series follows a team of profilers from the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) based in Quantico, Virginia. The BAU is part of the FBI National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime. Criminal Minds differs from many procedural dramas by focusing on the criminal rather than the crime itself.
